Our method, and how your numbers are calculated

The Pythagorean table

Each letter is worth a digit from 1 to 9, according to its rank in the alphabet: A=1, B=2… I=9, then it starts again at J=1, and so on up to Z=8. This is the Pythagorean table, the most widely used in Western numerology.

The vowels (A, E, I, O, U and Y) carry the inner life; the consonants, the outer image. We treat Y as a vowel, consistently.

Reduction

We add the relevant digits, then reduce the sum by adding its digits, until a single digit remains. Example: the year 1988 gives 1+9+8+8 = 26, then 2+6 = 8.

One exception: 11, 22 and 33 are never reduced. These are the master numbers, kept as they are for the identity numbers (life path, expression…), because they carry a particular vibration.

The numbers we calculate

From two sources (your date of birth and your full birth name), we derive your whole portrait:

• Life path · the reduced sum of your birth date: the great weave of your existence.
• Expression (Destiny) · every letter of your full birth name: what you came here to accomplish.
• Soul number · the vowels of your name: your deepest motivations, what stirs you in secret.
• Personality number · the consonants of your name: the image you project at first glance.
• Day number · the day of your birth reduced: an innate talent, a distinctive tone.
• Personal year, month and day · your birth date crossed with the period in view: your short cycles, the mood of the moment.
• Cycles, pinnacles and challenges · the great phases of your life and their stakes, set against your life path.
• Karmic debts · the 13, 14, 16 or 19 met along your calculations, and the digits missing from your name.

A transparent calculation

Each number follows a clear rule, applied the same way for everyone. No chance, no black box: with the same data, the result is always the same, and you can redo it by hand.

We always distinguish the calculation from the interpretation. The number is a fact: it is derived from your name and your date of birth. The meaning we give it is a reading, inherited from the Pythagorean tradition, which we own as such.
