Rigor, to reveal you to yourself

I'm passionate about astrology and the great symbolic languages of self-knowledge, and I'm also a developer. That combination is what makes the difference: here your chart isn't guessed, it's computed, to the arcsecond, from NASA's ephemerides.

Who's behind this site

My name is Richard Régul. I build software, and Your Astral Life is published by my company, Media Sense, in Nice, France. I'm not a professional astrologer, and I treat that as a strength: no dogma to defend, only the demand to get it right.

But make no mistake, I don't take these subjects lightly. I've been deeply drawn to astrology, numerology and the great symbolic languages of self-knowledge ever since I discovered how relevantly, how precisely and how intimately they can help us know ourselves, understand ourselves, find our way and grow. It's that respect that keeps me from cheapening them into vague horoscopes.

Most horoscopes you come across are written in advance for a whole sign. Here the approach is the opposite: we start from your exact date, time and place of birth, and reconstruct the real position of every celestial body at that instant. The rigor of the calculation serves the accuracy of the interpretation.

In concrete terms, Your Astral Life is years of reading and study, and thousands of hours spent programming, line by line, the engine that computes your chart and the writing that tells its story. Every formula, every nuance was set down, tested and reworked by hand. This is not a product churned out on an assembly line: it is patient craftsmanship, and I am proud of it.

Real computation, not a generic horoscope

The gap between a magazine horoscope and a birth chart is the same as between an average and your own measurement.

The generic horoscope

It starts from your Sun sign alone: one twelfth of humanity, the same text for hundreds of millions of people.

✦ Your real sky

Every planet, house and aspect, placed at your exact minute and place of birth. A sky that belongs to you alone.

01
NASA's ephemerides

Planetary positions come from DE442, the reference ephemeris of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the one used to navigate the solar system. It's the same level of exactness as professional astrology software, with no middleman.

02
An in-house calculation engine

From that raw data, an engine I built retraces the whole path to your zodiacal longitude: it corrects for the time light takes to reach us, the Earth's motion along its orbit, the bending of space near the Sun, then the slow wobble of Earth's axis (precession and nutation) to bring each body to the true sky of your date.

03
Verifiable to the arcsecond

One arcsecond is the width of a coin seen from four kilometres away. Every position is checked at that level against JPL Horizons, NASA's reference truth, across 800 years (from 1600 to 2400). Nothing is left to chance, and everything is reproducible.

Interpretation that stays true to the chart

An exact computation is worthless if it ends in vagueness. So the interpretation follows a simple rule: we first spot what matters most in your chart, what truly sets you apart, before putting it into words.

Each reading is then reviewed to remove two flaws: the fuzziness that could apply to anyone, and the lines that box you in (“you are this, full stop”). We offer keys to understand yourself, never a fixed fate.
