Oppositions

The opposition places two planets at 180°, face to face on a single axis: two real but opposite needs that have to coexist. As long as you don't hold them together, the tension swings from one extreme to the other, or gets projected onto others (the partner, the colleague, the rival who «embodies» the pole you refuse).
